So this is one of those things I think all of us are guilty of at some point... I know I am! Somehow, at some point, I got the misconception that bronzer was made to re-color your entire face. So, I piled it on like there was no tomorrow. Thankfully, those days are over and I've accumulated some knowledge on the RIGHT way to get that sunkissed glow with out looking orange, streaky, and unnatural...

This look is inspired by the purple and bronze colors seen in a beautiful sunset. This look is more dramatic, but can easily be toned town for an everyday look by adding less of the darker purple to the outer corners. I hope you like this tutorial, have fun!
Let's get started...

Don't you just hate when your makeup looks flawless in the morning but by 1:00 you look like a raccoon? Here I'm going to give you some tips for keeping your makeup fresh looking all day long. If you have dry skin this may not be much of a concern for you, but the more oily your skin is the more prone your makeup is to sliding off your face throughout the day. Not what we want, right? So here I have some tips to help from lips, face, and also the eyes. Enjoy! :)

The holidays are my favorite time of the year. I love the colors and happiness that this time of year brings. I got inspired to do an eye look using the colors I typically think of during this time of year using golds, rich purple and of course a little bit of sparkle. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. I've post all the products I've used at the bottom of the page. You don't have to use the same products I'm using, just use the same colors and you will create a similar result.

A simple tutorial on how to do a winged eyeliner. This is one of those things that requires practice, but I hope this tutorial helps make it seem a bit more simple. If you want it to be more suitable for every day simple shorten the wing to create a "baby cat eye" I hope you enjoy!

Here I'm going to show you some of the best drugstore beauty finds for makeup and skin care. Their is no reason to be ashamed of not wanting to spend crazy amounts of money on high end products. No one needs to break the bank to look their best. In fact, Ive seen some drugstore brands that offer better results then more expensive brands. I'm excited to show you some of my favorites that can all be purchased at Walgreens.
Mint julep mask is one of my favorite drug store skin care items. Usually I buy it from Walgreens. It contains kaolin, a type of white clay that draws impurities out of the skin and has been used for hundreds of years in facial spas. Mint julep mask contains glycerin, a great moisturizer. This mask also contains Bentonite clay as well which is an ingredient thats really effective for treating oily skin types. I recommend this for acne prone or congested skin. It has a very short ingredients list which is beneficial as the more ingredients a product has the more chances it has of causing irritation to the skin. It also has a wonderful refreshing minty smell, and leaves the skin soft and smooth. It costs only 2.99 purchased from Walgreens.
Do you ever notice how toddlers and babies all have such beautiful skin? Well I have a theory on this. Some of the reason may be because when we are younger our skin can repair itself faster. But I also think it's because when we are children we find joy in the simple things, like bubbles! More and more studies are showing that happy people live longer and have better overall health. Some people may think that great skin is only about how well you take care of it. While I do believe that good skin care is important, it is only part of the equation. Our skin is directly related to our nervous system which is affected during our fight or flight stress response. When we are in this mode of high stress, chemicals are released in our body to help us fight whatever it is we are stressing about. One of these chemicals released is called Cortisol. Cortisol is toxic in large doses, and when it is released too often in the body it can have side effects such as lowered immunity and inflammatory responses in the body(acne is inflammatory), decreased muscle tissue, high blood pressure, suppressed thyroid function, increased abdominal fat, blood sugar imbalances, and other scary stuff! It's commonly believed that we start to develop skin problems such as acne when we enter middle school and high school, a time when it is crucial to fit in. You have stress over grades, friends, drama, prom, and sports. Stress levels are at a maximum, no wonder it's a time when our skin can go bonkers! The interesting thing about stress is that it is perceptual. One person may see an event as stressful, while someone else may not. If we have a painful memory we recall, our brain can't tell the difference and it releases the same chemicals it would if it were the real deal. Sometimes we even stress over imaginary things. Obviously, we have to live our lives and we are going to be stressed out at certain times. In small amounts, stress can actually be helpful to us. It's just when we are stressing about little things all the time that it affects our health. I've noticed a great improvement in my skin and energy levels ever since I've been properly managing my stress. Some of my favorite ways are through yoga, meditation, humor, walks, exercising, and socializing with friends and family. But each person is different, so I encourage you to experiment and find your thing that works for you. Sometimes life can be hard on us, its perfectly fine to allow yourself to be upset and there and can be moments in life where its perfectly justified. You don't want to be stressed out about the fact that your stressed out! It's normal and no one is happy all the time. So if you need to pitch a fit every once in a while, just do it. This is another reason why I think little kids are so healthy, because they don't care what anyone thinks. If they are upset, they let you know it and they don't bottle things up. I am a firm believer that if we are healthy on the inside, we will be beautiful on the outside. I encourage you to find your way of relaxing, your skin will definitely reflect a more vibrant, healthy you! Have a wonderful day!
